BIOGRAPHY

Nutritionist Sheila Bingham was the director of the Medical Research Council Centre for Nutritional Epidemiology in Cancer Prevention and Survival at the University of Cambridge, and one of the founding members of the EPIC study. Working with Nick Day and colleagues, she contributed to develop the complex dietary assessment method for the EPIC study, a pioneering project that has demonstrated the role of nutrition, lifestyle, and hormones in the development of cancer.
