Tito Livraghi

BIOGRAPHY

He started his career as Assistant at the National Cancer Institute of Milan, then Deputy Head Physician at the Vimercate Hospital, he became head of interventional radiology at the same Hospital.

Then he worked as Scientific Consultant at the Humanitas Research Hospital in Milan. He proposed an innovative method for the treatment of liver neoplasms performed percutaneously under ultrasound guidance. He published over one hundred scientific papers and some books: Interventional Ultrasound, Italian Treatise on Ultrasound, Hepatocellular Carcinoma. He retired in 2009. He wrote several books on the history of Milan.
