Scott Gazelle
BIOGRAPHY
Scott Gazelle is Professor of Radiology at Harvard Medical School and Professor in the Department of Health Policy and Management at the Harvard School of Public Health.
He is the Founding Director of the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston Institute for Technology Assessment and stepped down as Director in Spring of 2015. He directed the Dana-Farber/Harvard Cancer Center Program in Cancer Outcomes Research Training.
He is also Vice Chair for Faculty Development and Associate Vice-Chair for Research in the MGH Department of Radiology.
Scott Gazelle is nationally and internationally known for his research evaluating the benefits, costs, and appropriate use of new medical technologies. Locally, he has authored more than 250 scientific articles, published 3 textbooks and presented numerous papers, lectures, and workshops nationally and internationally.
