BIOGRAPHY

Epidemiologist Rodolfo Saracci has been President of the International Epidemiological Association, and he has worked as chief of the Unit of Analytical Epidemiology at the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) in Lyon, in France. With Elio Riboli, he was involved in the first step of development of the innovative EPIC study, which in the early 1990s has brought together for the first time 23 clinical centres across the Europe to demonstrate the role of nutrition, lifestyle, and hormones in the cancer development.
