Neil MacDonald

Neil MacDonald was born in Calgary, Alberta in Canada. He is an oncology researcher and clinical practitioner, and an authority in the provision of palliative care as an academic discipline.
MacDonald is known for his holistic approach to the management of patient with cancer, but also his dedication and compassion in their treatment. His work through the World Health Organisation (WHO) and being co-author of the Oxford Textbook of Palliative Medicine have raise global awareness to the subject of palliative care.
He was professor emeritus at both McGill University and the University of Alberta.
