BIOGRAPHY
Guillaume Dupuytren was a French anatomist and military surgeon, physician of Napoleon.
Dupuytren applied the principles laid down by John Hunter. He was remarkable for his skill and dexterity in his operations.
His ‘clinical lectures’ given and the Hotel Dieu Hospital in Paris played an important role in the origins of modern clinical medicine.
