Fedro Peccatori

BIOGRAPHY
Fedro Peccatori is a medical and gynaecologist oncologist and Director of the Fertility and Reproduction Unit at the European Institute of Oncology, placed in Milan, Italy.
After graduating in Medicine at the University of Milan, he attended the Specialisation in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in the same institute, followed by a PhD in Oncology and a second specialisation in Medical Oncology at La Sapienza University in Rome. This interdisciplinary background led him to approach and pioneer the field of fertility preservation in cancer patients, in the early 2000s.
Since then, he has been president of the Italian Society for the Preservation of Fertility, and member of many organisations, such as the [European School of Oncology}(@eso) (ESO), the European Society of Medical Oncology (ESGO) and the Italian Association of Medical Oncology (AIOM).
In addition, since 2016, he serves as Scientific Director of ESO. Fedro Peccatori has also contributed to define a community of reference around the issues of cancer during pregnancy and fertility after cancer and has contributed to the guidelines of the European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO) and AIOM on these topics.
