Aimery De Gramont
BIOGRAPHY
Aimery de Gramont is a prominent French oncologist with significant contributions to cancer treatment, particularly in the field of gastrointestinal cancers. He is best known for developing two cornerstone chemotherapy regimens, an infusional 5Fluorouracil regimen, the so called ‘de Gramont’ regimen as well as the FOLFOX combination chemotherapy regimen. Both are widely used in the treatment of CRC. Throughout his career, he has chaired multiple large-scale international clinical trials focused on colorectal cancer.
Professor De Gramont has held several positions, including his current role as Head of the Oncology Department at the Franco-British Hospital in Levallois-Perret, France, a position he has held since 2014. Prior to this, he was the Head of Internal Medicine/Oncology at Saint-Antoine Hospital in Paris from 2001 to 2014. He also serves as the President and Founder of GERCOR, a French cooperative group dedicated to clinical cancer research, and the ARCAD Foundation, A database which supports research in digestive cancers.
